Does my child need gymnastics experience to enroll?

How do I know which class is right for my child?

Registration & Scheduling
How do I register for classes?

Can we switch classes or levels?

Classes & Programs
How long are gymnastics classes?
Class length varies by age and program, typically ranging from 45 to 90 minutes.
How many times per week should my child attend?
Most recreational gymnasts attend once per week. As athletes progress or join team programs, additional training opportunities may be recommended.
What is the difference between recreational and team programs?
Recreational programs focus on skill development, confidence, and fun. Team programs involve increased training time, higher commitment, and competitive opportunities.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes. Private lessons provide individualized instruction and are scheduled based on coach availability.
Open Gym & Activities
What is Open Gym?
Open Gym is supervised, unstructured gym time where participants can explore equipment and practice skills at their own pace.
Do parents need to stay during Open Gym?
Parents must remain on the gym floor with children under 5. Older participants may attend independently during age-appropriate sessions.
Do you offer birthday parties and camps?
Yes! EGA offers birthday parties, seasonal camps, and special events throughout the year.
Safety & Policies
Is gymnastics safe for kids?
Safety is a top priority. Our coaches are trained to teach age-appropriate skills using proper progressions and equipment designed to minimize risk.
What should my child wear to class?
Athletes should wear comfortable athletic clothing. Leotards or fitted athletic wear are recommended. Hair should be tied back, and jewelry should be removed.
What if my child has a medical condition or injury?
Please inform our staff of any medical concerns or injuries prior to participation so we can best support your child.
Are parents allowed to watch classes?
Viewing policies vary by program and age group. Some classes encourage limited observation to help athletes stay focused.
Viewing is welcomed for all of our recreational classes. For our Team programs, limited observation is recommended to help athletes stay focused and build independence.
