Open Gym at EGA
Looking for flexible, supervised gym time for your child or your whole family? Excel Open Gym sessions provide a safe, welcoming space where kids can move, explore, and build confidence at their own pace. Open Gym is designed for all experience levels and is a great way to enjoy the gym outside of traditional classes.

EGA offers several Open Gym options based on age, allowing families to choose the session that best fits their needs and comfort level.
Jr. Open Gym
Ages: 16 months – 6 years old
Play-based Open Gym is designed especially for toddlers and preschoolers. Children explore soft equipment, mats, and age-appropriate obstacle courses while building balance, coordination, and confidence in a fun, supportive environment. For children ages 5 and younger, a parent or guardian must remain in the gym and on the floor at all times to actively supervise and assist their child.
Family Open Gym
Ages: 16 months–12 years
Supervised free play for families with children of different ages. Kids explore the gym at their own pace while parents remain nearby. For children ages 5 and younger, a parent or guardian must stay in the gym and on the floor at all times. This session is ideal for siblings and families looking for active time together in a safe, engaging environment.
High School Open Gym
Ages: 13–17 years
Open access for teens who want extra gym time to practice skills, condition, or stay active in a supervised environment. No team or class enrollment required.
Adult Open Gym
Ages: +18 years
A relaxed and welcoming open gym experience for adults. Whether you are returning to gymnastics or simply looking for a fun way to stay active, adult open gym offers a low-pressure environment with access to equipment.
What to Expect at Open Gym
Open Gym is designed to be flexible and fun while still maintaining a safe and supervised environment.
Excel Provides:
- Supervised access to gymnastics equipment
- A clean and well-maintained facility
- Designated sessions based on age groups
What to Bring:
- Comfortable athletic clothing
- Water bottle
- Socks or bare feet
Important Notes:
- Parents must remain on the gym floor with children under 5
- Open Gym is supervised but unstructured
- Space is limited and advance registration is recommended
